precondition_failed

HTTP 412 · Precondition failed

The object changed since you read it: its ETag no longer matches If-Match. Fetch it again and retry.

What to do

GET the object again, re-apply your change to the fresh copy, and PATCH with the new ETag.

Do not retry automatically: the same request will fail the same way.
